Late with this, but basketball.
Pitt wasn't able to win the ACC wrestling tournament a little while ago, but the Panthers still showed their dominance in the first season of the conference. After the tournament, Pitt had a league-high five wrestlers named to the All ACC team.
Making the cut were Anthony Zanetta (125 pounds), Edgar Bright (141 pounds), Mikey Racciato (149 pounds), Tyler Wilps (174 pounds), and Max Thomusseit (184 pounds). All five of those guys reached the final bout in their respective weight classes at the ACC Tournament. Really feel bad for a guy like senior Shelton Mack (133 pounds) who was nationally-ranked much of the year, but upset in the conference tournament. He was given an automatic bid, though, and will be at the national championships (more on that in a little bit).
Pitt won all six of the ACC dual meets this year, going undefeated, and won the regular season championship. Next up for the Panthers are the National Championships this week.
