2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament Schedule: Pitt vs. Colorado Game Information (TV, Time, Schedule, Odds)

After several days off, the NCAA Tournament is officially here for Pitt. The Panthers will take on No. 8 seed Colorado this afternoon in their opening game and likely, the right to play top-seeded Florida on Saturday.

Pitt is the lower seed here but actually comes in as the favorite. As I've written early and often this week, I believe Pitt's No. 9 seed was probably a bit low and by the odds of winning this game and winning it all, that definitely looks to be true. But given the fact that the seedings don't always reflect just how good a team is (rather, what they did during the year), it's hard to kick and scream too loudly.

As if that weren't enough, most projections have Colorado as being overseeded, so there's that. Add it up along with Colorado's injury to its best player Spencer Dinwiddie and it's not hard to see why Pitt is favored here.

Below is the game information for today's contest.

TV: TBS

Time: 1:40 p.m.

Odds: Pitt favored earlier by 6 1/2 points

Location: Orlando, Florida

Records: Pitt (25-9) and Colorado (23-11)
