Pitt vs. North Carolina State: Open Gamethread

Ellen Ozier-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt takes on North Carolina State today in a rematch from earlier this season. The Panthers used a 12-point win against the Wolfpack to gain some respect earlier in the year. This time, Pitt gets them at home and have to come in as the favorite.

The Panthers are a different team since then, obviously. They don't have Durand Johnson as they did the first time around, but he was mostly a non-factor in that game, playing a scoreless eight minutes. Beyond that, though, Pitt has lost some of its stride. They were 13-1 after that game and really hadn't been tested all that much. Now, they're a team trying to get some momentum heading into (hopefully) the NCAAs.

Final home game of the year and it's a late one with a 9:00 p.m. start. You can catch it on ESPNU or ESPN3 and get a glimpse of Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna playing their final game at the Pete (barring #CBIncredible, of course).
