Former Pitt center and free agent Aaron Gray has agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons will serve as Gray's fourth team in his seven years in the league. He can sign a deal on Thursday when free agents can officially join new teams.

Gray was first drafted by the Bulls in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft and has not found a consistent home yet. After a brief stint in Chicago he was traded New Orleans in the middle of the third year. From there he latched on with Toronto for two and a half seasons before being traded to Sacramento at the trade deadline.

He averaged nearly 9.6 minutes per game last season and could see more playing time in Detroit. The Pistons start Andre Drummond at center and do not have a backup for him. The Pistons slid power forward Greg Monroe over to the center slot in games that Drummond missed due to injury. Gray will give the Pistons some much-needed depth in the paint.

Matt Watson of SB Nation's Detroit Bad Boys is not too happy with the signing. Check out his take here.
