The Panthers face Florida International later today in their third contest of the early season. So far so good, as Pitt has beaten their first two opponents - Delaware and Boston College. The program looks to continue their hot start under head coach Paul Chryst as Pitt travels to Florida International to face the Golden Panthers.
FIU comes into the game having defeated FCS program Wagner handily last weekend, 34-3. The Golden Panthers, however, dropped their season opener and was upset by Bethune-Cookman, 14-12. The team ranks No. 6 in the nation in total defense, but is yet to face an FBS team. Pitt ranks fifth overall in rushing on the year.
