A little late on this but covering football season really brings about entirely too many challenges when it comes to keeping up with all of the other sports.
After going undrafted, former Pitt center Talib Zanna got his first taste of NBA action with the Philadelphia 76ers on their summer league team. He didn't get much opportunity there, but his NBA chances aren't over just yet. Per his trainer, Koran Godwin, Zanna is now headed to the Oklahoma City Thunder's training camp.
Huge shout out to Talib Zanna for getting a NBA training camp invite from OKC. #WorkUntil pays off.… http://t.co/vbSRXMWIoo

Great to see him getting another look and playing with the Thunder will be interesting if only because he'll be alongside another former Pitt center - Steven Adams, the guy he replaced after Adams entered the NBA Draft and was taken in the Lottery before last season.
Zanna still has his work cut out for him in terms of making a roster. Teams obviously want to keep the guys they've invested draft picks in and those players generally have a leg up on the undrafted free agents. Still a good showing could draw Oklahoma City's interest or that of other teams.
