Pitt's basketball team faces a stiff test tonight in the season opener against Gonzaga. The Panthers will not only be playing out of the country in Japan, but they'll be matched up against a preseason Top Ten team in the Zags.
Jamie Dixon's squad will have their work cut out for them, particularly because of Gonzaga's size. Not only do the Bulldogs have star power forward Kyle Wiltjer (16.8 ppg last season), but they have three other players at least 6'11". To say the Panthers' frontcourt will have their hands full is an understatement.
Still, tonight's game presents an excellent opportunity for the team to see how they stack up against coach Mark Few and what looks like one of the best teams in the country.
The game will be at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN. Join us here to comment live during the game and leave your pregame thoughts below in the comments section.
