After the regular season, Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd said he had not yet made a decision on leaving school early for the NFL Draft. The Panthers officially concluded their year with Monday's Military Bowl, but Boyd still says he is on the fence about leaving:
Tyler Boyd: "I love these guys, these are guys I came here, wanted to play with. So I'm still uncertain [about the draft]"

As I said after the Miami game, it makes sense for Boyd to hold off on an announcement. He hasn't had his NFL evaluation yet and while it looks like he should be a relatively early-round pick, he might want to wait until he gets that news from the 'experts.'
Most Pitt fans (including this one) still expect him to leave early, I think. Boyd could come back and pursue a more impressive season but when you weigh that he probably should be an early-round pick with the NFL paycheck and injury risks of staying in school, I just don't see it. Plus, statistically, Boyd doesn't really have much more than he can do in college. Sure, he had somewhat of a down year in terms of yardage this season, but overall, he has had three great years. His usage in the backfield as a running back this year makes him even more valuable. To me, the chance remains high that Boyd wrapped up his college career on Monday.
Boyd had six catches for 53 yards to go along with 55 rushing yards on only five carries in the Military Bowl.
