(Don't) Bet The Farm: Syracuse Orange

It's crunch time for the Pitt Panthers and they could see their NCAA chances go boom or possibly bust in upstate New York tomorrow.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt is looking to build their resume and a win at Syracuse tomorrow would enhance their resume. A loss to the Orange and they could be facing do-or-die the rest of the way. Syracuse will be looking for revenge, while the Panthers are looking to continue to frustrate Jim Boeheim by stealing one in the Carrier Dome.

Pitt's road record is not a fun one and it could hurt them come Selection Sunday.  They've been close here and there lately, but will need a few road wins down the stretch to get into the Big Dance this March.  Syracuse has already eliminated themselves from post-season play by imposing sanctions for some violations, but they would love nothing more than to push the Panthers to the brink of NCAA elimination by avenging their six point loss earlier at The Pete.

You can tune in on WTAE tomorrow at noon if you live in the Pittsburgh DMA. If you are like me and live elsewhere, you will have to check your local listings or check out WatchESPN to support Jamie Dixon and crew. Pitt will enter the game  at 17-10 and 6-7 in the ACC. Syracuse comes in with a 17-9 record, but are 8-5 in the conference.

Our writers are very tight at the top and it looks like myself and Anson are looking to make a move in this one. Comment below to let us know who you think will come out on top tomorrow.

Anson (10-4): Syracuse

Chris (10-4): Pitt

JD (9-5): Pitt

Jim (9-5): Pitt

Aron (8-6): Syracuse

Stephen (7-7): Pitt
