Pat Signal: Brandon Ford commits to Pitt

Upper St. Clair linemen, Brandon Ford, commits to Pitt.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Once again, Narduzzi tweets and we all wait.  Pantherlair confirms that it was offensive line prospect, Brandon Ford,   who pulled the trigger this afternoon to become the second member of Pitt's 2016 recruiting class. Brand Ford plays his high school ball for Upper St. Clair in the nearby South Hills of Pittsburgh.

Ford is listed as a two-star prospect by Rivals and 24/7, and Rivals names him the 27th best prospect in the state. He holds offers from mostly MAC schools, but also has an offer from Maryland of the Big Ten.  He is a massive prospect that stands 6'6" and checks in at 300 pounds.

Brandon Ford is a pretty good prospect that is big and imposing and fits the mold of the offensive scheme. He lacks some big time offers right now, but that's not to say he would not have picked a few more during the Spring evaluation period we are entering. Just by watching his film, you can tell he moves well and has some serious skill for a kid his size.

With Tony Butler committing yesterday on top of today's news, Narduzzi may be picking up some steam on the recruiting trail. Unlike the previous staff, they will feed off of energy and be more aggressive in pursuing recruits, and I think it may lead to waves of commitments at a time.  Stay on the lookout for some more Narduzzi tweets, I bet we see one or two more this month.
