Pitt vs. Florida State: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Contrary to popular belief, Pitt's basketball season doesn't end today - it just sort of feels that way.

Barring a miraculous ACC Tournament run, the Panthers should be NIT bound after the regular-season finale against Florida State. After dropping two games you'd expect the team to have won, Pitt limps into today's contest with its hopes of playing in the NCAA Tournament greatly diminished.

Today's game, of course, is no gimme, either. The Panthers nearly lost to the Seminoles at home about two months ago before pulling away and winning by nine. The game was tied in the first few minutes of the second half before Pitt eventually prevailed.

I don't know what to expect in this one. It's on the road and, as most recently seen against Wake Forest last weekend, the Panthers are terrible away from home. The Panthers are also once again up against a team on its Senior Day/home finale, so there's that, too. You expect Pitt to win this one, but really, would a loss be all that surprising?
