Cheick Diallo suiting up at Nike Hoop Summit

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Prized 2015 recruit, Cheick Diallo, is hitting the court again - this time, at the Nike Hoop Summit this weekend. If you haven't yet seen Diallo in action, you'll get another shot on Saturday as the game will be televised on ESPN2 at 3:00 p.m.

Pitt coach Jamie Dixon, who has been in hot pursuit, visited with him recently and ZagsBlog says he's again slated to meet with him after the Jordan Brand Classic on April 17th. That meeting may or may not happen since Diallo has said he may even announce his decision for a college at the game.

One thing of minor note from that ZagsBlog article was this:

“I’m trying to make a decision maybe Jordan Game or after Jordan Game,” he said in the above video from OregonLive.com. “I wanna know what players are going to the NBA and what players are not going. That’s my big thing.”

Not that it's unexpected. Part of Diallo weighing his options is about who he'll not only have to play with, but who he could contend with for playing time.

Pitt, of course, will find room for him and he'd get playing time with the Panthers despite the fact that nearly all of the key parts from last year's team return. Diallo would not only find minutes at Pitt, but plenty of them. But with Kentucky sending seven players to the NBA Draft this year, you have to wonder how much something like that will affect his decision.
