A pair of Philadelphia guards have added offers from Pitt to their already impressive resumes.
Tony Carr and Lamar Stevens of Team Final both picked up offers from Pitt on Wednesday. The two guards grew up playing AAU together and recently, Stevens announced his intentions to transfer from the Haverford school to play alongside Carr at Roman Catholic.
Roman Catholic won the Philadelphia Catholic League championship this year as well as the PIAA AAAA championship.
The two have also recently hinted that they would like to play together at the next level, so it should come to no surprise that a lot of schools recently have been offering scholarships to both of them.
Pitt is the first ACC school to offer either of them. They have both reportedly received offers to schools such as Maryland, Indiana, Iowa, Temple and Penn State.
"It means a lot to me," Carr said to Cardiac Hill over text. "I was very excited that they offered me."
Carr also noted that the offer comes as a bit of surprise because up until now, Pitt had not been recruiting him.
