Poll of the Week: Will Pitt land Sterling Gibbs?

Decision time is coming for the biggest transfer on the market and Pitt is in the running. Can they close on Sterling Gibbs?

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

By now, just about everyone should know about Sterling Gibbs transferring from Seton Hall and being the biggest transfer on the market this off-season. He's a guard capable of scoring and he happens to be the little brother of former Pitt player Ashton Gibbs.

Pitt has received a visit for his services and he is down to the final days before announcing his decision.  There are other good programs in the running as well and each has compelling reasons why Gibbs should choose them. In addition to Sterling being very familiar with Jamie Dixon and Pitt through his brother, it was also just revealed that guard Josh Newkirk will be sidelined with knee surgery and that would seemingly give Gibbs even more of an opportunity to get onto the court early in the season if he chose the Panthers.

We should know of Gibbs' decision soon, but before anything is announced, what do you think of the chances that Dixon and company have to close the deal for a top guard on the market and receive some immediate help next season? Let us know in this week's poll.
