After such a big 2014 season, you can expect to see James Conner's name headlining a lot of offseason lists over the summer. Athlon took a shot at ranking the top ACC running backs for 2015 and it's no surprise that Conner tops those rankings. The ACC returns three of its five 1,000-yard rushers in 2015, per Athlon.
Conner isn't only the easy choice for top 2015 running back in the ACC, but he is among the nation's best. Whether or not he can repeat the lofty numbers he put up last season is an unknown, but heading into 2015, he's got to be the frontrunner to repeat as the conference's top rusher.
One question for me is if he'll even repeat the same workload he did last year. The Panthers have some capable backups, including Chris James, Rachid Ibrahim, and Qadree Ollison - not to mention 2015 four-star recruit Darrin Hall, who could be headed for a redshirt. Conner is the go to guy without question, but there are several options to help him carry the load this year.
