2015 ACC Media Days: James Conner and Darryl Render to attend for Pitt

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN recently announced the player attendees for the annual ACC Football Media Days and representing the Panthers will be running back James Conner and defensive lineman Darryl Render.

Conner seems like a no-brainer as a true leader of the team and Render is a great choice for the defense as well. Tyler Boyd might seem like a slam dunk for this sort of thing, but his recent run-in with the law didn't help matters and don't forget, he already had a chance to do this last year when he went with Ray Vinopal. Because he was just there in 2014, I'm not sure he would have been the pick to go again even without the legal troubles.

Last year, Boyd going bucked the trend as upperclassmen usually get the nod to attend these things. This year, Pitt stuck with that tradition sending a junior (Conner) and senior (Render).

Pitt's other attendee, of course, will be new head coach Pat Narduzzi as it will be his first time at the event. Hopefully we'll get some good stuff out of him as we look towards the season. Last year, we had an SB Nation guy down there and brought you a two-part interview with Paul Chryst where he discussed the team as well as his thoughts on recruiting. We'll see if we can do the same this year.

ACC Media Days (ACC Kickoff) will begin on July 19 and is in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
