Pitt receiver Tyler Boyd comments on NFL Draft declaration

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

As expected, Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd declared for the NFL Draft following the team's loss to Navy in the Military Bowl game. In the immediate aftermath of the game, Boyd said he remained uncertain about going to the pros or returning to school for his senior season. But on New Year's Day, he announced his intentions to turn pro.

Pitt and head coach Pat Narduzzi issued a statement after the announcement thanking Tyler for his contributions, which I included in the post a short while ago. But Boyd also gave his own statement on Instagram, writing a letter to the City of Pittsburgh.

If you've not yet done so, be sure to check out the whole thing. The gist of it was thanking his fans for supporting him from his days at Clairton to the University of Pittsburgh.

Congrats to Tyler on a successful career at Pitt as he begins his pro journey.
