Pitt faces Georgia Tech at Homecoming today. Despite all of the focus on the running games with the Panthers needing to stop the option, I’m interested to see what the passing games do today.
The Yellow Jackets barely throw the ball at all, averaging only a little over 100 passing yards per game. But given what Pitt’s secondary has done this season, Georgia Tech almost has to take some more shots downfield than normal. Similarly, Georgia Tech’s defense has struggled more defending the pass than they have the run this year. Pitt threw more against Marshall and that could be the beginning of trying to open things up a little more there.
