Going Scouting: Clemson Tigers

The chances are that you’ve seen Pitt’s next opponent, but just in case, you get one more chance before the Panthers visit Death Valley.

If you haven’t seen one of the many Clemson games that have been on national television this season, you get one more shot before Pitt heads south to take on the Tigers. While Pitt will try and get back on the winning track against Miami, the schedulers did you a favor and put Clemson on right after the Panthers game this afternoon. Pitt will be finishing up right before the Tigers host Syracuse today.

In case you haven’t seen yet, Clemson sits at No. 2 in the first college football playoff rankings. They are 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference. The Tigers will be home and kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. today, at Memorial Stadium (aka Death Valley). Many will look at this as the easy part of Clemson’s schedule, but don’t sleep on Syracuse. The Orange, who have struggled in recent years, sits at an even 4-4 and 2-2 in the ACC. Recently, they scored a big upset, defeating Virginia Tech.

You can watch this game on either ESPN2 or ABC. If the Pitt game is over by then, you won’t want to miss the start, as Clemson has one of college football’s best entrances. Clemson head coach, Dabo Swinney will try and keep the talented Tigers focused so they can be 9-0 when the Panthers come calling next weekend.
