Pitt Dominates PG Fabulous 22

The Post Gazette's Fabulous 22 had a Pitt Panther flavor to it this season, marking more proof that Pitt is on the rise.

We have been talking and talking about Pat Narduzzi's effect on Pitt Panther recruiting in the Western, PA area. Mike White provided further proof by showing the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's annual Fabulous 22 team and where the senior selections will be playing in college. The team had a distinct Oakland feel to it this season.

Now, in case you are too lazy to click on the link provided, don't worry, I understand your situation. I am here to give you a few cliff notes to the article. First, the important breakdown of the 15 seniors that made the team: Pitt will get the services of five of those playing at the next level. Penn State and West Virginia had to each settle for one recruit on the on the list. Damar Hamlin and Miles Sanders headline the class, but Sanders is where the Lions' recruits stop and the Panthers are just getting started with players like Kaezon Pugh and Therran Coleman making the list.

Furthermore, there are seven underclassmen on the team and if you follow recruiting, you know that things could get better for Narduzzi and his staff. They already have Paris Ford committed from the junior class, which is a great start for next season. It may not end there though, as the staff seems to already be in great shape for players like David Adams, Donovan Jeter, and super sophomore QB, Phil Jurkovec. The new staff has paid off big already, but the work has just begun and here is where relationships will really start to see some progress in the local high schools.
