Pitt falls out of USA Today Coaches Poll

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

With another 1-1 week, Pitt's basketball team finally slipped out of the Top 25 altogether.

Last week, the Panthers fell out of the media poll but remained at No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. But after a loss to Clemson, that was enough to drop the team from that poll in Monday's rankings as well.

Pitt was nearly ranked again, however. Despite the loss, the Panthers were 26th in the poll with a total of 42 points, just missing the cut. As has been the case for most of the season, Pitt was lower in the media poll, checking in at No 34 with a meager four points.

I didn't have a problem with Pitt falling out of the media poll last week, so there's no chance I'm going to be outraged that they aren't in either poll this week. The Panthers will have a chance to get back in next week if they can defeat Virginia on Saturday.
