Pretty important game for Pitt today as they travel to Syracuse for a challenging road contest. The Panthers defeated the Orange earlier this season but that was not only at home, but when Syracuse didn't have head coach Jim Boeheim. The Orange have been a completely different team under Boeheim (4-5 without him and 14-4 with him), as ESPN recently noted.
This is obviously going to be a difficult game for Pitt and a loss here may mean the Panthers need to grab a win against either Louisville or Duke in upcoming home games. If not, they could be forced with the prospect of winning their final two contests and getting an ACC Tournament win. Even then, of course, nothing is guaranteed.
Game time at 2:00 p.m. today and you can see it on ESPN2. Join us here to comment live during the game.
