Back on February 1, Pitt's basketball team slipped out of the USA Today/Coaches Poll, making them unranked in both sets of rankings. After several losses since then, the Panthers sort of fell off the radar.
Wins against Wake Forest and Syracuse this past week have them creeping back a little closer to the Top 25, though.
Those two wins last week made Pitt 19-7 on the season and got the Panthers back into the Top 30 in the USA Today Coaches Poll released on Monday. As they have all season, the team continues to get far less respect in the AP media poll as they don't have a single vote there. But Pitt is up three spots to No. 30 in the USA Today Poll and with a win against Louisville or Duke this week, they could get even closer, even if they drop the other game.
Here are the complete rankings for this week.
