With a win over No. 20 Virginia, Pitt's then No. 24 wrestling team had a chance to move into the Top 20 of the college wrestling polls (USA Today/NWCA) released on Monday. The Panthers stumbled over the weekend, however, with a loss to unranked Clarion. Instead of moving up in the latest rankings, Pitt dropped two spots and fell out of the Top 25.

The Panthers check in at No. 26 'unofficially' this week and are receiving 15 total points in the Others Receiving Votes category. Despite the win over a ranked Virginia team (Virginia fell out of the Top 25 as well), the Panthers weren't able to capitalize after the disappointing upset loss to Clarion. Undefeated Penn State remained No. 1 in the polls.

Pitt's regular season is now over and the Panthers will next be in action at the ACC Championships.

Here are the complete rankings for the Top 25 poll released on Monday.
