The NFL Combine is underway and on Thursday, measurements of the players were taken.
Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd was the only Panther invited to the event. Overall, his measurements were fine but unspectacular compared to those of other receivers.
Boyd officially checked in at 6'1" and 197 pounds. Of the 43 wideouts at the event, 18 were taller than Boyd, so that put him near the middle of the field. Nine had what I would call a significant advantage over him with a height differential of two more inches.
Boyd's arm (32") and hand (9 3/4") measurements were also taken. His arms placed him again near the middle with 22 guys with a longer reach. 19 players had larger hands.
Overall, his measurements are right in the middle of the pack. The good news for Boyd is that his skill set has him above more of these guys and he's clearly one of the better wideouts in the group despite his average measurements.
