Pitt injuries, position changes talk heading into spring football practices

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt's spring practices will get underway starting on March 15. Like all teams this time of year heading into these initial practices, the Panthers have a few players a little banged up that will be limited.

Per the Trib's Jerry DiPaola, linebackers, Bam Bradley, Quintin Wirginis, and Anthony McKee may all be pretty limited. In addition, you can add offensive lineman Alex Officer to that group. DiPaola says he was in a walking boot. Plus, while running back James Conner has been participating in the offseason workouts, he's obviously a guy that is going to be limited as he continues chemotherapy treatments.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi also said, per that article, that there will be some position changes coming once we get closer to spring ball. Given that it happens every year, that's not huge news. But it will be interesting to see what direction they go with a few guys.

More to come, I'm sure.
