Pitt 2017 commit Paris Ford is expected to join the Panthers' football team next year, but before he does, he could play in a high-profile All-American game.

Ford announced he was invited to the Under Armour All-American game on his Twitter account on Thursday:

Last  year, the game was played on January 2nd and televised on ESPN2. Assuming he plays, that's great news and big exposure for him and Pitt, obviously. It's right around the holidays and on national TV, so it doesn't get much bigger than that.

If he is officially selected, Ford would become the second Pitt commit to be at the game. Per the Under Armour game page, Dorian Johnson was the only other Pitt recruit to appear in the contest, when he did so back in 2013.

Currently, Ford ranks as the top Pitt commit for 2017. The four-star recruit is recognized by Rivals as the No. 3 safety in the nation, and a top 50 player overall.
