Let's make this clear, folks - Pitt is not leaving the ACC for the Big 12. I know we've learned never to say never in this sort of climate but I can't imagine such a move happening anytime in the near future. Still, with the Big 12 expansion talk gearing up quite a bit recently, the conference is reportedly weighing its options and it's popping up quite a bit in the news again.
Chris Ross, formerly an SB Nation writer, created his own Big 12 venture, Land Grant Gauntlet. They've been reviewing the expansion circus from every angle and wanted to know the chances of Pitt considering a move. I answered some questions in a Q&A over there to talk about why Pitt is happy in the ACC and how a move to the Big 12 simply wasn't feasible, despite additional revenue being involved.
Head on over and check it out if you've got the time.
