Junior Desmond Palmer had a somewhat disappointing showing at the NCAA Track and Field Championships as the men's ACC 400m hurdles champion failed to qualify for the finals. But he got some good news this week when he was named as a Second Team All-American in the 400m hurdles once all the results were in.

This is Palmer's third consecutive All-American honor as he was a First Team selection last year as a sophomore and a Second Team selection as a freshman.

The men's 4x400 relay team (Palmer, Chris Tate, Brylan Slay, and Donnell Taylor) also failed to reach the finals at the NCAA championships, but collected Honorable Mention All American honors this week as well.

As I wrote before, I'm sure it was disappointing for Palmer and the relay team not to reach the finals but claiming some All-American recognition is more than enough evidence that they had a special season.
