It’s been a while since I have given an update on Pitt's The Basketball Tournament team, The Untouchables. But not only did the team get enough votes to qualify, they also were given the No. 3 seed in the Northeast.
This has drawn a matchup with Sideline Cancer (shame they have to play them, a team playing for a really terrific cause). A win means a potential round of 32 matchup lurks against none other than the man who ended Pitt’s Final Four dreams in 2009, Scottie Reynolds, and a Villanova alumni squad.
The team also added a new addition to the squad in point guard Levance Fields. He now joins Gilbert Brown, Talib Zanna, Jermaine Dixon, Brad Wanamaker, Gary McGhee, and Antonio Graves on a roster full of former Pitt stars.
The team still needs more votes ahead of a July 8th deadline. Should they secure 2,000 votes (about 550 more), they can add a ringer for the Sweet 16. You can help the team by following this link to go sign up to become a fan and vote for them (if you run into troubles reach out). Also, let us know in the comments section who you might like to see added to the team.
The team is poised to make a deep run but cannot do it without you!
