Pitt defeats Villanova in opener, 28-7

It wasn't all that pretty or inspiring but Pitt still managed to win its opener against Villanova in Saturday. The passing game needs work and the running game wasn't as dominant as you might expect against an FCS defense. But the defense did a great job and a win is better than what some teams cobbled together in Saturday.

I'll have a more in depth review later but wanted to give an opportunity to react in the immediate aftermath.

Hurdle cleared. Penn State next week.
