And, we’re back to bootleg Doctor Robert YouTube videos. Here’s another cover from ... someone?
So this week, we’ve got some conflicting injury reports. The key injuries here are to defensive end Dewayne Hendrix and backup linebacker Elijah Zeise. Both are significant but with head coach Pat Narduzzi cutting off access to players as well as some conflicting reports, we really have no idea if either or both of these guys will suit up.
Both left last week’s game against Villanova and did not return. They were also reportedly in walking boots as well, so there’s that.
From last week’s injury report, cornerback Damar Hamlin and wide receiver Zach Challingworth did not play against Villanova. Their status for Saturday remains unknown. That’s also the same for fullback George Aston, who did not play last week and is often a key blocker in the running game. Narduzzi is keeping all of this information confidential at the moment.
Hendrix is still listed as the starting defensive end on the depth chart and Narduzzi said in the press conference that he even anticipates him playing. But, of course, that could all just be talk to give Penn State the idea that he will suit up.
Either way, we’ll find out Saturday if he’s available or not.
