Here are your updated ACC football power rankings after this weekend’s games.
Two teams, North Carolina State and Miami, scored really nice wins. The Wolfpack were expected to be decent this year but I don’t know that anyone would have predicted a 5-1 start at this point.
Funny thing is that I’m not even sure they’re the biggest surprise of the year. Virginia hasn’t played the toughest schedule in the world but is still 4-1, which has to be considered somewhat of a surprise.
Locally, Pitt doesn’t fall any further after North Carolina’s blowout loss to Notre Dame and Boston College’s loss to the Hokies.
1. (1) Clemson (6-0) - 28-14 win over Wake Forest
2. (2) Miami (4-0) - 24-20 win over Florida State
3. (3) Virginia Tech (5-1) - 23-10 win over Boston College
4. (5) North Carolina State (5-1) - 39-25 win over Louisville
5. (6) Georgia Tech (3-1) - Bye
6. (4) Louisville (4-2) - Loss to North Carolina State
7. (7) Florida State (1-3) - Lost to Miami
8. (8) Wake Forest (4-2) - Lost to Clemson
9. (10) Virginia (4-1) - 28-21 win over Duke
10. (9). Duke (4-2) - Lost to Miami
11. (12) Syracuse (3-3) - 27-24 win over Pitt
12. (11) Pitt (2-4) - Lost to Syracuse
13. (13) North Carolina (1-5) - Lost 33-10 to Notre Dame
14. (14) Boston College (2-4) - Lost to Virginia Tech
