Pitt’s volleyball team keeps trucking along and on Sunday, they swept Boston College for an easy 3-0 win. The Panthers, as they have all year in conference, dominated the Eagles, winning 25-17, 2522, and 25-18. The sweep was the second straight one for Pitt, who also swept Syracuse on Friday.
The Panthers were led by Stephanie Williams’ ten kills and Layne Van Buskirk and freshmen Kayla Lund/Chinaza Ndee were tough up front, combining for 12 blocks.
Today’s win is the 12th straight one for Pitt and they are now 8-0 in the ACC (for the first time ever since joining the conference). Overall, the Panthers move to 15-4 on the season.
Next weekend will be a good test for Pitt. The Panthers return home but will face North Carolina, which is 6-2 in the conference, and NC State, which is the only other unbeaten conference team (13-6 overall, 8-0 in the ACC). That weekend will tell us a lot about just how good this Pitt team is.
