Man, been a while since we’ve seen this, right?
Pitt is actually favored heading into this weekend’s matchup against Virginia. The line opened with Pitt as a four-point favorite and, even though it’s come down slightly to -3 or -3 1⁄2 in favor of the Panthers, they’re still expected to come out on top.
The Panthers haven’t been favored much this year and it’s been about a month (Rice game) when they’ve been picked to win.
Oddsmakers basically think what I’ve been saying so far - that Virginia’s 5-2 record isn’t to be trusted. You don’t usually see a 5-2 team favored over one that’s 3-5 but that’s what we’ve got here.
What do you think of the line? Too much in Pitt’s favor, too little, or just about right?
