At the risk of being redundant, this week's poll is about Jamel Artis' NBA chances. Last week, I asked the question if he would be drafted. The answer was a resounding no and that turned out to be the correct answer as Artis was not selected.
But while Artis was not picked, he seems like he is headed in the right direction. He not only landed on a summer league team with the New York Knicks but also secured a partially-guaranteed contract, meaning he will be in the team's training camp this fall. That gives him a leg up on many other rookies who will simply be on the summer league teams and still considered longshots to make a roster.
Does the partially-guaranteed contract make you feel any better about his NBA chances?
