We’re back for more!
Pitt’s basketball team (8-11) has lost six straight games since starting ACC play and there’s no real end in sight. At least not today as the Panthers will face Duke at 4:00 p.m.
Pitt lost to Duke ten days ago at home by 35 points. Today, they’ll travel on the road to face a Blue Devils team that’s lost only two games all year.
The spread in that first game had Duke favored by about 20 points and they’re about 29 1/2-point favorites this time around. ESPN’s game predictor gives Pitt a .8 chance to win, which is probably one of the more lopsided ones you’ll between two teams in a conference game.
Pitt’s defense going up against a high-powered Duke offense averaging 92.7 points per game is probably the key to keeping it close. The Panthers gave up 87 points the first time around, though, so good luck with that and all.
The game will be on the ACC Network (locally, it will be on WTAE/ABC). Join us here to comment live during the game if you like screaming at the TV, throwing things around, and such.
