Pitt vs. Wake Forest: Open Gamethread

Pitt faces Wake Forest tonight in a basketball game in what really is a last-ditch effort at getting a single ACC win this year. Pitt technically will have two games remaining after this one but neither (a game vs. No. 1 Virginia or a road contest against Notre Dame) looks anywhere near as winnable as this one does.

The Panthers have about as much in their favor as they can here. They get the game at home and the Demon Deacons have been nearly as bad this season as they have been. Wake is the better team but it’s not likely by a wide margin.

Most of you still think Wake will win and, well, I can’t blame you. Pitt will have a chance but, as stated before, until you actually see them hold on to a lead and play all the way through for 40 minutes, it’s hard to call your shot.
