They’re not getting nearly enough attention, but Pitt Athletics’ best team continues to do well as it pursues a 2nd ACC title in as many years.
Pitt started off their ACC season with a sweep of Virginia , and followed that up this past Friday with a sweep of the other Commonwealth team in Virginia Tech on the road.
The team is now 13-0, which matches their best start in school history. The Panthers continue to get national attention as well, by moving up another spot in the national rankings
Feelin' great at No. 8️⃣ in this week's @AVCAVolleyball Poll!

Not sure if you noticed the team right below them in the rankings. The reason I point out the program to the east is to just provide some context of how far this Pitt Volleyball program has come. Penn State Volleyball since 2007 has won the NCAA national championship six times, including four in a row from 2007-2010, and two in a row 2013-2014. Even last year, Penn State finished with a trip to the NCAA Final Four. For Pitt to be in the same league as that team is really noteworthy for them as a program.
Pitt won the ACC last year, and I’m sure their aspirations look beyond that for this year.
