The Pitt football season ended with a bit of a dud. After a 7-4 record at one point, the Panthers proceeded to drop their final three games of the year.
I think that was the scenario all of us feared but hoped wouldn’t happen. With games against Miami, Clemson, and a good bowl opponent, which ultimately turned out to be Stanford, 0-3 was certainly possible. And unfortunately, that’s how things ended up. A season that was once full of optimism fell extremely flat at the end.
As I said in the recap of the Stanford game, I personally think this was a nice season despite all of that just because expectations weren’t real high and Pitt still managed to reach a conference championship. But I know there are valid reasons for thinking the year didn’t go all that great, either. I’m interested in seeing/hearing what everyone else thinks in terms of a grade for the year.
What are your thoughts on the season as a whole in terms of a letter grade? Vote in the poll below.
