(Don’t) Bet The Farm: Pitt vs Syracuse Picks

Pitt comes back from the bye week tonight to face Syracuse in the Dome tonight at 7. Pitt got a bye week at a time when it seemed like a lot of the team was banged up, and the hope is they got healthy over the week off.

This is a pretty big game for Pitt. Pitt is in the thick of the Coastal race after UVA’s loss last week, and while they don’t control their own destiny, all of the games they have left are very winnable. Their annual game versus Cuse has traditionally been weird and a pretty evenly matched affair over the last couple of years.

If Pitt’s defense gets to Syracuse QB Tommy Devito like NC State did last week, I have a hard time seeing Cuse having enough success on offense to win. Pitt’s offense has been inconsistent at best, but should be enough to come out with a win.
