While Pitt started its ACC conference schedule back in August to start the year versus Virginia, it starts in earnest this weekend as Pitt goes on the road to face Duke. The rest of the schedule is Pitt’s remaining ACC games.
Pat Narduzzi and Pitt made us sweat it out last week in what most expected would be a close win, but with some starters held out Pitt made it more interesting than it should have been. Thankfully, a win is a win, and that’s especially important when our entire staff had picked Pitt.
Up until now, our staff has swung all one way or the other on Pitt. We either all picked Pitt or their opponent. This week, there is dissension! There is likely to be more as the ACC season moves on.
With Pickett, our staff is fairly confident that Pitt will squeak out a win. Duke looked impressive last week, but it’s still not clear if that means Duke is good or Virginia Tech is just that bad. Quentin Harris will be challenging for Pitt to stop defensively.
