Pitt vs. Virginia Tech: Open Gamethread

It’s game day and the Panthers have yet another critical one on Saturday, facing Virginia Tech.

Today’s contest is expected to be another close one for Pitt, who has played in abundance of those this year. The Panthers are on the road today against the Hokies and both teams still have aspirations of winning the ACC Coastal Division. The difference is that Virginia Tech controls its own destiny while Pitt, which has already lost to Virginia, does not. The Panthers need to win out and have Virginia lose to Virginia Tech in their final ACC contest.

But it all starts today with Pitt and their first task will be to defeat an improved Virginia Tech team that has turned its season around.
