Pitt vs. Northwestern: Open Gamethread

Tonight, the Pitt men’s basketball team squares off against another non-conference opponent from a major conference as they’ll take on Northwestern.

The game is the championship of the Fort Myers Tip-Off. The Panthers (5-2) advanced there by beating Kansas State on Monday while Northwestern (3-2) knocked off Bradley. The Wildcats were impressive in that game but have not been great this year, losing by double digits to both Radford and Merrimack (!).

Still, they looked strong against Bradley, knocking down 10-20 shots from three-point range and also shooting over 50% from the field. You shoot that well and you can beat almost anyone on any given night.
