Pitt vs. Northern Illinois: Open Gamethread

After more than a week off, the Pitt men’s basketball team is back in action tonight against Northern Illinois.

Last time out, the Panthers (7-3) were defeated by No. 1 Louisville. Tonight’s game figures to be a much more manageable task. That’s not to say that any game on the schedule is a gimme. Plus, the Huskies (6-4) also strung together six consecutive victories before dropping their last two contests to Saint Mary’s and UC Davis. But this is a non-conference game where Pitt will be highly favored and expected to win.
