Pitt Softball: 2019 Freshman Class Shares Their Favorite Moment of the Season

Pittsburgh Panthers

Fresh off their 7-3 victory over the Marshall Thundering Herd in Huntington, WV yesterday the four freshman on the Pittsburgh Panthers Softball Team shared their favorite moment from their first season.

First up is Hannah Bach, who has appeared in 45 games this season including 1 start. She’s been the teams go-to pinch runner all season, racking up 8 stolen based on 11 attempts.

Next is pitcher Abby Edwards, who leads the team with 5 wins. She’s appeared in 35 games including 18 starts. Abby pitched 2 full innings against Marshall w/o allowing a hit or earned run.

You may recognize outfielder Katlyn Pavlick, as the talented first year player has appeared in 43 games including 38 starts. She leads the team with 21 walks and ranks in the top-5 in runs (22), hits (26), doubles (5), home runs (6), and stolen bases (6-6).

Last, but certainly not least, is outfielder Sarah Seamans. She’s appeared in 37 games including 11 starts. Sarah went 2-3 with a run yesterday against the Thunder Herd.

As always, a big thank you to the girls for their willingness to participate, and a special thank you to Matthew Keenan, the media relations assistant for Pitt, for helping to coordinate our requests and put together this video.
