Four-star small forward Jalen Bridges released his top 10 on Monday afternoon, and Pitt was included as a finalist for his services. The elite recruit hails from Fairmont, West Virginia, but opted to play an additional season at Scotland Campus, a preparatory school in Scotland, Pennsylvania, before heading off to college.

The 6’7”, 180-pound recruit trimmed his list down from 31 reported offers, notably cutting the likes of Dayton, Marshall, NC State, Penn State, Robert Morris and Temple. Along with Pitt, Alabama, Indiana, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, USC, West Virginia and Xavier also made the cut.
During his time at Fairmont Senior High School, Bridges led his team to four straight West Virginia state championship appearances and was named the West Virginia player of the year in March. In his senior season, he averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.9 steals per game during the regular season. He then went on to post 16.5 points per game in the state tournament.
Bridges is also a member of the Pennsylvania-based AAU program Wildcats Select, and through his participation in the Adidas Gauntlet summer championship and other events, he has been able to raise his profile significantly in recent weeks. Specifically, since late May, he has sprung from outside the 247Sports composite's top 200 to within the recruiting website's top 85 prospects in the 2020 class.
The coveted recruit previously told Alex Hickey of WV Metro News that he plans to commit in October or November.
