Pitt seniors Dane Jackson and Maurice Ffrench selected as reps for ACC Football Kickoff

The event will run from July 17 to July 18 in Charlotte, North Carolina

The ACC Football Kickoff is set to get underway on July 17, and on Tuesday, the conference released a list of the student-athletes who will be representing each school. For Pitt, those representatives will be senior wide receiver Maurice Ffrench and senior cornerback Dane Jackson.

Both Ffrench and Jackson distinguished themselves on the field for the Panthers last season, as Ffrench got the season started with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Albany in 2018. He also led the team with six receiving touchdowns on the season and added two on the ground. As for Jackson, he led the team with 14 pass breakups and four forced fumbles in his junior season.

The duo also makes for a fitting choice in that nine of Pitt’s 12 previous selections dating back to 2013 were seniors at the time they were chosen to represent the school. They are also in good company, as six of the past selections, including Tyler Boyd, James Conner, Aaron Donald, Avonte Maddox, Brian O’Neill and Nathan Peterman, are all on NFL rosters.

The event will be held at the Westin hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina, and it will run from July 17 until July 18. Ffrench and Jackson will be joined by Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi.
