Pitt Softball Adds Transfer Lolo Sanchez

Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Panthers announced they added junior infielder Lolo Sanchez, a transfer from Mercer University on their Twitter account.

After two successful seasons with Mercer in the Southern Conference (SoCon), Sanchez will be immediately eligible to play for Pitt during the upcoming 2020 season. She figures to add defensive depth to an infield that lost several starters and rotation players due to graduation.

As a freshman, Sanchez was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team and played in and started 52 games for the Bears. With a career on-base percentage just above .365, she is also a factor at the plate and on the bags. Overall, this looks like a really solid addition for the Panthers.
