The 100th game between Penn State and Pitt is today at noon, and looks to be the last for quite some time.
After the all of the staff correctly picking Pitt last week, we’ve all swung the other way. Unfortunately, we’re not being very optimistic.
Here are the picks:
Anson (1-1) - PSU
JD (1-1) - PSU
Jordan (1-1) - PSU
Matt (1-1) - PSU
Stephen (1-1) - PSU
Corey (1-1) - PSU
Mike (1-1) – PSU
Pitt could very well win this game, as they’ve faced worse odds before. Penn State is a more talented and more complete this team at this point in the season, and it’s hard to see Pitt playing better for a full 60 minutes based on how Pitt’s first two games went.
This game will come down to Kenny Pickett and Sean Clifford. Clifford has been excellent so far for Penn State, and he’s gotten the ball to his playmakers. Pickett was able to do that in the Ohio game, but points were left on the board and the offense as a whole did not do well versus the other Power 5 defense they’ve faced in Virginia.
Pitt fans are quite used to getting shocked though (for better or for worse), and rivalry games always allow for some shenanigans.
